My son drew a really nice blueish crab at school. I scanned it and cleaned information technology up a footling in the calculator and at present I think it would look really dainty on a piece of woods. At that place is no background, just a crab floating on white. What is the best way to become information technology on wood? Definitely don't want the white newspaper. I tin print it out with whatsoever kind of printer: laser, inkjet or copier.

Things you demand:
Gel Medium, Paint castor, Direct Edge, Wood, Paradigm on Paper, spray canteen full of water.
Hie thee to the craft store!
You'll look in the pigment department of your local Michael'south, Joann, or (please don't) Hobby Antechamber, and look for a matter chosen "Gel Medium". Most $12 a jar, take hold of a coupon off the store website for 40% off.
You'll have your wood nice and make clean – no pigment or finish on it already. It should exist sanded fairly shine, and you can use a cloth or paper towel that's been dampened to get the last $.25 of grit off.
Then, pigment the whole thing with the gel medium. Not too thick. A brush or sponge is fine.
Lay the paper prototype-side down on the wood.
Use something with a straight-edge to shine it out – I have one of those plastic things you scrape pans with, but you lot tin besides apply a trowel or a credit bill of fare. Simply get the bubbles out.
Let it dry.
Later on it's completely dry, spray the paper with h2o. When information technology's soaked, apply your fingertips to rub away the newspaper, leaving only the image behind.
Information technology takes a while. At the end you'll probably end upward sacrificing a washcloth to get the last gooey bits of paper lurid off the image.
Here are some pictures I transferred from a National Geographic magazine onto some parquet floor tiles using gel medium.
Give thanks you so much!! Does information technology matter what I print the image out on? Copier, laser or ink jet?
Will whatsoever Gel Medium work? Something like this
That's the same i I have. The ink shouldn't matter. Like I said: mine came from a magazine.
I used to exercise a lot of these with a wood burner/ soldering iron. Just trace the cartoon with the hot tip of the soldering fe and yous accept an etched wood drawing worthy to hang anywhere.

I promise that link was merely for illustration purposes. 8oz. is a fleck of overkill for your purpose.
Any craft store should conduct Liquitex in much smaller sizes. It's the. brand I most frequently used when doing face painting and fifty-fifty the smallest jar goes a very long style and will terminal you quite a long time.
Yes, that was but an example. The size didn't mater, it was the contents.
